What makes us unique?

We are a couple.

We are married and we are in love with each other. It seems most appropriate for a couple who is already married and in love to witness the vows of a couple who is in love and is being married. Although the choice is yours as to whether you choose both of us or one of us to officiate your wedding, the majority of couples prefer to have a couple as officiants.

We "totally" customize ceremonies.

We customize your wedding ceremony from the arrangement of the seats to the receiving line. Since the ceremony reflects your love and since your guests will witness that love, we believe that you are the only ones who know best what speaks of your love. To aid you in your formation of a ceremony, we provide you with a hundred-plus page workbook that is packed with multiple selections for every aspect of the ceremony: Greetings, Readings, Vows, Blessings, etc. The book also contains a section devoted to optional rituals: Unity Candle, Memorials, etc. You are not limited to our workbook. You can write your ceremony on your own. You can use outside sources. You can re-write, edit, or cut & paste in our book. The ceremony is your ceremony. We aid and advise along the way, but the finished product is your product. On the other hand, if you want a pre-designed ceremony, we will design a ceremony for you.

We are available to assist you.

We limit the amount of weddings that we do each year in order to provide every couple with a full service wedding. From the moment that we receive your deposit, until the wedding day, we offer our ministerial services to you. This is part of our total package. If you desire some pre-wedding counseling, we will provide that. If you need extra meetings to work on the ceremony, we will meet with you. If you need to call and vent your frustrations concerning the overwhelming detail and organization that you are facing with your wedding preparations, we will listen.

Do we always wear clerical/liturgical vestments?

Most of the time we do since the vestments lend themselves to the festivity of the occasion. However, occasionally a couple might prefer a more secular look, in that case we wear blacks suits and white shirts, or something similar.

We meet with you at least twice before your ceremony.

Although church pastors may meet with couples several times before a ceremony, ministers who are not connected to a particular church tend to meet with couples once. We feel that we need to have at least two meetings to get to know you, your love, and your needs for a ceremony.

We arrive half hour early to your ceremony.

We arrive early to assure that everything in regard to your ceremony is running smoothly and as you have planned it. Since you have designed a beautiful ceremony, we plan to arrive at your wedding site a half hour early to touch base with all persons involved in your ceremony: Photographer, Musicians, Readers, Facility Coordinator, etc. We can troubleshoot, at this time, any problems that might arise at the last moment.

We acknowledge that the ceremony is "all about you."

This might sound like an obvious statement; however, it is important that you know that we take a low profile position as much as possible. The wedding is about you and your love. It is not about us or about our ability to "entertain" your guests. While performing your ceremony in a reverent and sensitive manner, we keep your guests thoroughly engaged throughout your ceremony.

And . . . since babies often result from weddings,

we do baptisms, christenings, and naming ceremonies.
